TITAN TRUCK EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES was founded on March 11, 1986 in Spokane, Washington by Greg and Deb Hauck as an outgrowth of their thriving car care business. As a fledgling light truck accessory warehouse distributor, Titan quickly began to grow and expand into all of Eastern Washington State calling on new and used car dealers, parts stores, customizers and others in the automotive aftermarket. In 1990 Titan became a sister company to Nelson Truck Equipment of Seattle, Washington, a 63 year old distributer with a stellar reputation. With renewed vision, determination and hardwork, sales began to expand into Oregon, Idaho and Montana, with additional sales coming by word-of-mouth from Alaska, California, Hawaii, Wyoming and Utah. The year 1992 brought more excitement as Titan began offering sales and installation of commercial truck bodies and equipment through a newly established truck body and equipment division. This necessitated a move to a larger facility with greater capacity. As a result of proven experience and hard work, Ford Motor Company, in 2000 awarded Titan a Ford truck bailment pool. Growth came once again in 2002 as Titan took advantage of an opportunity to enter the utility truck equipment market and provide Versalift Aerial divices to utility companies, co-ops, pud's and various entities of the federal, state and local governments. Titan celebrated it's first 20 years in 2006 by recognizing 20 years of dedication by the first Titan employee, Chris Jensen. Once more in late 2006, opportunity arose putting Titan into the towing and recovery industry. A new division was established to provide lines of wreckers and car carriers to towing companies. 2007 found Titan again busting at the seams and badly in need of space. By mid year Titan had expanded nearly doubling its capacity. Today, Titan Truck has 4 successful divisions providing a variety of products and services to a large and diverse customer base, primarily in the western U.S. Together they host an annual show to exhibit new products and offerings at the Spokane Convention Center followed by a customer appreciation party. The credit lies with the owners who provide the resources and guidance, the employees of every department who diligently work together to establish Titan's reputation everyday, and the customers who believe in them, allowing the 47 employees of Titan Truck to earn their business with every order. |
