The next stage of growth started when Baja engineers and racers moved on to competing in truck and buggy races. The race-winning HID motorbike lights were rapidly transferred by the engineers to their newly developed racing cars. BD was the first firm to produce a forward projecting LED light bar, which was unveiled and raced in the 2005 Baja 1000. LED lights were the next logical progression of lighting, and BD was the company that led this transition.
